NORLAND
The luminous formal living room channels the spirit of a European salon: elegant, layered, and rich with historic reference. Towering windows and a dramatic coffered ceiling frame the room’s vertical grandeur, while a moody palette of blue, gold, and ivory brings warmth and intimacy. The bold velvet sofas, flanked by a chinoiserie screen and adorned with silk and animal-print pillows, strike a balance between tailored formality and playful pattern. A vintage Murano chandelier floats overhead like a globe lantern, grounding the height with sculptural softness. Every detail, from the inlaid parquet floors to the gilded mirror and lacquered cabinetry, was chosen to make this room feel both sophisticated and storied, a place for both quiet reflection and spirited conversation.
The primary bedroom was born from the homeowner’s love of Paris and her desire for a space that felt as transportive as a grand hotel suite on the Left Bank. She wanted a moment of wow each time she opened the doors to her primary suite, something bold, elegant, and unapologetically hers. We took a deep dive into her inspirations, curating a visual board to uncover the patterns of her aesthetic leanings: French glamour, jewel tones, tailored luxury, and ornate detail. The result is a room layered with classical elegance and sensual texture, with a sweeping teal velvet headboard acting as the crown jewel, a grounding moment that set the tone for the entire design.
This bathroom blends rich color, reflective finishes, and tailored detailing to create a space that feels both indulgent and refined. Glossy custom cabinetry in a deep brown hue with an eggplant undertone anchors the room with moody sophistication, while dramatic brass hardware with a statement circular pull adds a sculptural, jewelry-like quality.
The creamy marble countertop with caramel veining softens the palette, complementing the warm champagne tones of the faucet and fixtures. A striking textural wallcovering and elongated alabaster sconces frame the gold-trimmed mirror, catching the light and lending a golden glow to the entire composition. Every element is intentionally chosen to elevate the space, creating a bathroom that feels richly layered and impeccably styled.
